so, i have to brag.... it's been one of those weeks where rudy's working nights and i'm working days, so our quality time is minimal. i'm an independent girl, and i love some alone time, but i'll admit, there are some days that i get a little emotional (ok, probably a little whiny too) and have my pity party about missing my best friend. knowing i had had "one of those days" yesterday, i got home tonight and found a mysterious note on the door. my sweet hubby took me on a 10 clue scavenger hunt through the house with each clue telling me something he loved about me or something he loved about spending time together. my final prize was a bosu balance trainer (no it wasn't a subtle hint to get back in pre-wedding shape, i'd been eyeing for a while).
although i'm really excited about the bosu (which stands for BOth Sides Up), i was MOST excited about the game, reading the notes, and knowing the time he spent to put it together and that he was thinking about me all day. there i was, alone in our house, giggling like a little girl. isn't it amazing what someone else's thoughtfulness can do for your attitude?
what are some surprises you have done for your significant others or that they have done for you?

Ashley, that was definitely brag worthy! Tell Rudy I give him an A plus plus! I'm also so glad to know what BOSU stands for. Maybe the next hide and seek can be for tickets to the Alabama/Arkansas game in the fall :).
Some of my favorite surprises are getting those little notes, just out of the blue notes from Nathan. And this year he really got me with the surprise trip and birthday party.
Bart really surprised me earlier this month. Read about it on our blog. mayinmemphis.blogspot.com
How sweet is he?? Isn't it nice to have someone who brightens your day, just as you are beginning to feel sorry for yourself?
Oh that is soooo sweet! I need to pass this on to Troy to give him a hint. ha. To answer your question at the bottom of your post, I guess my favorite surprise was when we were at Harding and Troy proposed. You probably remember the story....He sent a rose to the dorm and said that he would pick me up at 6:00 sharp then we got in the truck and he blind folded me. Then we drove to the Searcy airport and I got into a chartered plane. When we were in the air he took the blind fold off and on the runway in christmas lights it said. "Will you marry me, Shana?" Then we flew to LR and there was a limo waiting on us and we went to eat and cruised the town. I guess that would have to be my best surprise that I have to tell. It is hard to believe that has been over 11 years ago. I am ready for another surprise now! Ha!
what a sweet husband!
That Rudy, so sweet!!
